There is an awful lot of history around these parts. Stories that have pictures and documents to prove they happened and then there are the legends. The stories the old timers tell that were told to them by their parents and grand parents, we're not sure if they really happened but locals swear it did!

The original Barrett General Store still stands quietly next to the current building. The tiny structure was built in 1917 to serve locals and travelers along highway 94 which at one time was a stage coach route. |
